Tingshas are pairs of hanging bell cymbals, connected by a little strap. This large size Tingsha is beautifully carved with 8 Auspicious Tibetan symbols called Asthamangala believed to be 8 good luck symbols.
Tingshas have been used during meditation for centuries. Their beautiful vibration calls for our awareness to focus on our inner being and achieve spiritual growth.
These cymbals have been carefully crafted using the ancient Tibetan method of sand-casting. After the casting process each pair are individually hammered around their outer rim until they produce an identical pitch. The better Tingshas use several metals to get a better harmonic tone. These uses 7 metals.
